CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Travis’ journey to medicine began as an EMT volunteer in a rural ambulance service during his teenage years. This continued on working graveyard shifts as first responder while attending college full time.
Responding to the unexpected and treating those who had suddenly met the most vulnerable and weakest moments of their life was deeply humbling and impactful. These early, life-altering years defined how he sees trauma, injury, and the healing process. Treating and understanding how the body stores trauma remains one of his greatest areas of personal research and devotion.
A board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Travis Johnson earned his doctorate from Northwestern Health Sciences University and became interested in integrative medicine. After graduate school he founded YHS Integrative Clinic, which later transformed into Healcove Clinic. Over the past 10 years he has helped create a platform for collaborative healthcare.
He has been an active leader and teacher in the San Diego community. You can find him pouring over a new book, on the sunny beaches, family in tow.
Dr. Shane Kelly is a board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic and certified Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) exercise trainer.
Dr. Kelly battled with chronic back pain as a child. Out of necessity, young Shane Kelly started learning the nature of chronic pain, human movement patterns, and the mechanisms that result in painful conditions.
As his knowledge base grew, the fear he held regarding that pain began to decrease. He learned daily exercises that allowed for pain-free movement and adopted a regular routine of chiropractic treatment and muscle work to ensure he was not over-stressing his low back.
Results soon followed. His back pain became less and less debilitating as his confidence continued to grow, and he soon achieved the freedom from back pain he had once feared he would never find.
Now a pain-free doctor, he believes in facilitating a multifaceted model of treatment. He emphasizes improving patients’ understanding of their pain experience and empowering them to take an active role in managing their injuries.
Committed to a comprehensive, movement-based approach to patient care, he combines chiropractic adjustments and various soft tissue techniques with the targeted application of active rehabilitative exercises to address underlying movement dysfunctions—helping patients remain active and pain-free.
You can find Dr. Kelly early most mornings surfing one of his local spots before his day starts at the clinic. His two daughters keep Dr. Kelly’s (and his wife’s) weekends both busy and joyful.
Dr. Tim Stanfill, a board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic, began his health journey as a year-round athlete from the age of 5. This led him to become the first in his family to graduate college with a degree in exercise science and minors in coaching and athletic training. He went on to work as a personal trainer and strength coach for the next 10 years, while living out his dream of playing rugby for the US national team.
As a professional athlete, Dr. Tim obsessed over improving performance and longevity. This is what led him to pursue a chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West.
Focused on the evolution of human potential, his unique approach to total body care centers around empowering individuals to be their own advocates for health and wellness. Through comprehensive understanding of the human body, he aims to revolutionize the way we think about movement. Dr. Tim’s top priority is unlocking mental and physiological barriers that allow each individual to truly express the purest version of themselves.
In his spare time, you can find him coaching the next generation of professional athletes. While continuing to inspire young people to prioritize their wellbeing, he also finds balance in his passion for video games or enjoying a nice quiet cafe with friends and family.
