Travis’ involvement in medicine began while volunteering as an EMT for a rural ambulance service as a teen and continued in college as he worked graveyard shifts, full-time.
Responding to the unexpected and treating those who had suddenly met the most vulnerable and weakest moments of their life was deeply humbling and impactful. These early, life-altering years defined how he witnessed trauma, injury, and the healing process. Treating and understanding how the body stores trauma remains one of his greatest areas of personal research and devotion.
He earned his doctorate from Northwestern Health Sciences University and became interested in integrative medicine. After graduate school he founded YHS Integrative Clinic, which later transformed into Healcove Clinic. Over the past 10 years he has helped create a platform for collaborative healthcare.
He has been an active leader and teacher in the San Diego community. You can find him pouring over a new book, on the sunny beaches, family in tow.
The bruising years of high school and collegiate wrestling found Ryan recovering in the hands of a sports chiropractor. The experience of performance and recovery launched his studies in human biomechanics.
He earned his doctorate from Northwestern Health Sciences University and joined the YHS Integrative Clinic (now Healcove) team in 2016. His interests lie in preventative medicine, strength training, and athletic recovery.
Dr. Ryan has enjoyed working with high level athletes, military, weekend warriors, the desk-bound, and those that just want to push the restart button on their health. He uses a combination of manual and active therapies to help his patients recover from injury, treat chronic pain, and improve performance. All with the aim to build a foundation that can withstand the test of time and keep his patients functioning well into their later years.
Dr. Ryan avidly studies preventative medicine, rehabilitation, and strength & conditioning research. He is part of a transforming profession and aspires to revolutionize the way patients identify chiropractic. He regularly teaches small group classes in the community, at their place of work, and in the Clinic.
He enjoys being at the dog beach, in the gym, or on the golf course. He looks forward to being a part of your health journey.
After experiencing great relief from both neck and low back injuries through acupuncture, Angela decided to pursue a career in acupuncture, and earned a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
As a licensed acupuncturist and physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Angela provides the highest caliber of real, hands-on care combining Eastern therapies with modern science customized to fit your specific needs.
She specializes in pain management, sports medicine, women’s health and fertility. In addition, Angela practices internal medicine and is able to manage an array of complaints from sinus and digestive problems to stress, anxiety, and depression.
Prior to joining Healcove, Angela built a thriving massage practice in San Juan Capistrano, CA, and was lucky enough to work with Lisa Sherwood, CNM, at Beach Cities Midwifery. There, Angela performed massage and acupressure on women in labor. In addition, she has worked with multiple professional athletes, from the NFL to the US Olympic team.
She believes the true wellness is achieved and maintained through lifestyle and self-care, with interventions to correct imbalances and promote health. Her goal is to educate and guide you along this path.
Marya specializes in women’s health, pediatrics, digestive disorders and pain management. With a gentle touch, she focuses on harmonizing and balancing the mind, body and spirit. You will find a passionate, nurturing professional, who brings integrity and compassion to all her patients. She has an integrative approach that yields fast, effective and lasting results.
As an empath, Marya began her personal healing journey through painting, dance and choreography. Painting allowed her to transform and release all the energies she was picking up. While studying dance at UC Santa Cruz, she injured her back. Told by conventional doctors that she’d have to live with the pain, she began to seek out alternative options. This ultimately led her to both Acupuncture and Pilates. Acupuncture helped her back pain like no other therapy did. Pilates allowed her to regain strength, presence, and empowerment.
Finding Pilates and Acupuncture alone couldn’t address the emotional and energetic parts of pain, she sought out more training. She studied Somatic Movement (Art of Embodiment) and Biological Breath with Cass Phelps.
Marya holds M.S. in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Marya is also a certified Reiki practitioner, a nutrition and detox coach, as well as a teacher of somatic movement and meditation.
Adam Fuller is a doctor of acupuncture and oriental medicine and founder of Thrive Wellness. As an acupuncturist, herbalist, and postural alignment specialist, Dr. Adam creates comprehensive and individualized treatment programs for pain management, athletic performance enhancement, weight loss, allergies/digestive issues, hormonal imbalances and relaxation.

In his own time, Dr. Adam enjoys CrossFit workouts, and spending as much time as possible at the beach or in the mountains. He enjoys music, paleo cooking, sports, and engaging in adventurous activities with his wife Caitlin, his son Weston, and dog Nahla.
Robert believes that massage can play an integral role in your overall health and wellbeing, not only for acute pain and injury but also as a preventative measure. He takes a clinical approach to massage and specializes in trigger point and neuromuscular therapy (NMT) while mixing in techniques from other modalities. Robert works to relieve pain, increase mobility and give you the opportunity to take control over your health.
After years laboring in construction, his interest in massage therapy came after a work injury left him in pain and with limited mobility. After seeing many doctors and being told surgery would be his only option, he decided to see both a chiropractor and a massage therapist. Together, these health professionals were able to relieve his pain and help him to achieve a full recovery.
A certified massage therapist since 2007, Robert attended the Center for Natural Wellness and Massage Therapy, in New York.
Zarah has been practicing wellness therapies for over 12 years. She began her healing path at 16 years old, when she contracted a severe case of shingles and was bedridden for over a month.
Relief was not in sight until her mother took her to the local health food store. Here, the store’s owner advised Zarah try natural herbal salves and washes to heal bed sores. These remedies worked more gently and effectively than other options she was offered by conventional Western medicine. Instantly, Alternative Medicine sparked her interest.
Before diving deeper into wellness, she worked with hands and feet every day as a cosmetologist. But she knew there was more to both than just pretty, healthy nails.

Mandy is passionate about treating all anxiety and stress-related disorders, and is an expert in reducing the pain of severe physical and emotional trauma. She offers traditional talk therapy and mind-body solutions to support healing as well as nutritional and holistic resources.
Dr. Daily employs a variety of techniques, including clinical nutrition, natural injection therapies, bioidentical hormones, and oriental medicine to create a custom healing program for each of his patients. In more advanced conditions, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes, he may integrate prescription drugs into the naturopathic treatment plan.

After graduating, he traveled to China for advanced study at the Guilin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
A New Zealander who became an awarded, All-American runner, Dr. Lamont has experienced firsthand the frustration of ongoing injuries and has realized the importance of physical therapy as preventative rather than reactive care.
She is a physical therapist and certified Yoga Instructor, and is focused on using functional movement principles to resolve biomechanical errors that can lead—or have already led—to injury and dysfunction of tissues in your body.
Dr. Lamont is passionate about educating expectant mothers on the importance of preparing for birth and postpartum recovery. And as a mom herself, she uses functional movement and principles of yoga to address injury and help women realize they can find their strongest selves post-childbirth.
After graduating the University of Otago, in New Zealand, Dr. Lamont earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at San Diego State University (SDSU). She holds a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science from the University of Tulsa. Today, Dr. Lamont continues to study movements through both Applied Functional Science (AFS) and yoga—which she incorporates into your strength sessions.
Matthew appreciates that he can help any person achieve optimal, pain-free movement patterns so that you can enjoy a higher quality of life. And some of those people include celebrity athletes and Olympic heroes.
Since 2004, Matthew has devoted himself to his education in the field of exercise science. During the first half of those years, his personal journey revolved around training as a football athlete. But in 2011, after sustaining a torn ACL, Matthew made the transition from athlete to coach. His own personal rehabilitation journey sparked an interest in a new dimension of strength and conditioning, injury prevention and corrective exercise disciplines.
Matthew has a Master’s degree in Exercise Science and holds the distinguished CSCS certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and Performance Enhancement Specialization from NASM.
Originally from the East Coast, Matthew relocated to southern California to be immersed in an environment where others value their health and well-being as much as he does.
Nowadays, Matthew’s fitness journey revolves around enjoying life to the fullest and the various ways to remain fit. He enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking and standup paddle boarding as well as the more traditional forms of exercise, but he hopes to share his fitness and overall well-being formula with as many people as he possibly can.
